Fake Antivirus Scam Hits Facebook

http://www.pcworld.com/article/188147/fake_antivirus_scam_hits_facebook.html

“The message tells social networkers they can speed up Facebook by deleting an app called 'un named app' from the applications added to their profile.  The security vendor says that while no malicious link is included on the massage, web users searching for more information about the app could find themselves navigating through to malicious websites designed to encourage the fake antivirus software to be downloaded.”

Upgrading graphics - So easy, a monkey can do it! ATI Radeon/AMD

Very entertaining commercial, if I do say so myself.  Go tiny monkey, go!

Consumer Depot - buyer beware

I've heard nothing but bad news about this place over the years.

"Consumers — as many as 21,000 in Tennessee and across the country — are one step closer to getting refunds from a computer seller and liquidator who, according to a court ruling, misrepresented its products."

Weddings - yay

Just because we're right in the middle of it now.

Google Nexus One - exchange support

FYI, if you are considering a Nexus One, you may want to consider again.  I just set one up so I was able to test this first-hand.

While the phone says it supports MS Exchange ActiveSync, it only does email and contacts.  It will not sync your calendar with exchange.  This is going to be an issue that will confuse people interested in Android now as a platform.  Everyone knows an WinMo phone syncs fully with exchange.  So does an iphone.  So does the Palm Pre.  But Android is spotty with coverage and that will cause people frustration.

Oh and for people that think Google has already won and no one cares about exchange servers, think again.  A majority of large businesses run on Exchange server.  Syncing fully with exchange will be a requirement to win the Business segment.

I would like to say that at this point, I can only blame the carrier (T-Mobile) and not the manufacturer (HTC) or the OS (Android).  The Droid, the Eris, and the Hero all sync with calendar, contacts, and email.

Google hopes to change wireless retail game with Nexus One

It wasn't much of a secret, really, but the sleek, Android-powered Nexus One is finally here, and yes: you can buy it directly from Google, over the Web. As expected, the unlocked, no-contract Nexus One will cost you a pretty penny, but subsidized versions will also be available from T-Mobile and ... what's this, Verizon Wireless? You betcha.
